lyrics

INTRO RIFF
4 X G D C

VERSE 1
6 X G D C
We stand on this high hill /commit your body to this earth
Family and friends share /stories back to your birth
You gave us so much / we are thankful for your life

CHORUS
4 X Am C G D
You held such reverence for the simple things sublime
Holding hands on bushwalks sharing puzzles tea and time
You bought some heaven to earth/ laughing Timor children make art
Disabled people are dancing / new art therapies start

VERSE 2
8 X G D C
We stand on this high hill / we say our sad goodbye
You gave us inspiration / now women are rising high
You are an everyday hero / for living a balanced life
Look after nature / help people through their strife

CHORUS

VERSE 3
8 X G D C
We stand on this high hill / surveying all that you have done
You set high standards / for living life while having fun
You showed such courage / when you were attacked
Doing the right thing / being generous and giving back

CHORUS

OUTRO RIFF
8 X G D C
